Historic capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, Dijon holds its weddings in venues with real character: townhouses in the listed old centre, cobbled courtyards, estates on the Côte de Nuits, châteaux around the city. All of them settings where acoustic music naturally finds its place.
Gypsy jazz has a quality that is rare at a wedding: it appeals to grandparents and to friends of thirty years alike. It fills a courtyard or a reception room without drowning out conversation, and knows how to lift when the moment calls for it. We have been playing weddings for over twenty years, in Dijon and right across the Côte-d'Or.
We bring our own sound system: nothing to hire or arrange on your side. Based in Saône-et-Loire, we travel across the Côte-d'Or, throughout France and in Europe.

How the day runs
Your wedding in Dijon, moment by moment
The ceremony
A civil ceremony in the garden of an estate, or a religious one in a church in the centre. The entrance, the exits, the key moments: the repertoire is chosen with you, and played acoustically.
The cocktail hour
The moment where we are most useful. In the courtyard of a townhouse or on the terrace of an estate, the music holds the atmosphere without forcing anyone to raise their voice.
The drinks and the dinner
Elegant background music during the meal, in a reduced line-up if the room is small. The volume comes down, the presence stays.
The evening concert
A proper set for those who want to listen. We do not do dance floors or the first dance: if you are planning a DJ afterwards, we fit in around that without difficulty.

Frequently asked questions
Playing in Dijon, in practice
Do you play outdoors, in a courtyard or a garden?
Yes, it is a large part of what we do, and the townhouse courtyards of central Dijon lend themselves to it well. We need a power supply nearby and a fallback option in case of rain: our instruments and our sound system do not survive a downpour, however brief.
Do you cover the dancing later in the evening?
No. We are a concert and atmosphere band, not a dance orchestra. If you want your guests dancing at the end of the night, that is handled by a DJ or another act, and we fit in around whatever is planned.
Access to the town centre is difficult — is that a problem?
No, as long as we know in advance. The courtyards and townhouses of the old town sometimes mean carrying the gear in, or a restricted time slot for unloading. Tell us beforehand and we will adjust our arrival time and the setup accordingly.
Do you travel across the whole Côte-d'Or?
Yes: Dijon, the Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Beaune and the whole department. And we are not limited to the region — we travel throughout France and Europe.
How long do you play for?
For a wedding we accompany several moments of the day: the running order is agreed together beforehand, moment by moment. For an entertainment booking we usually play in sets with breaks, across an agreed time slot.
Do you play retail events and openings?
Yes. Among others, we provided jazz entertainment at the Toison d'Or shopping centre. Shopping galleries, trade shows, openings, corporate Christmas events: we adapt the volume and the format to the venue and its footfall.

This kind of booking is nothing like a concert. People pass through, they do not settle: we play in sets, at a volume that still allows conversation, and we adapt to the rhythm of the place rather than the other way round. This is the format we offer shopping centres, openings, trade shows and works councils.
