Gypsy jazz on the banks of the Saône
Chalon-sur-Saône and the Côte chalonnaise offer a range of venues that few towns of this size can match: riverside reception halls, wine estates in Mercurey and Givry, restored farmhouses in the Bresse chalonnaise, and a town centre that hosts the Chalon dans la Rue street theatre festival every summer. We play there for weddings, but also for public events and corporate evenings.
Every venue calls for a different line-up, and that is often what guides the choice. A vaulted cellar or a stone hall carries the sound naturally, and a duo finds its place there without straining. A garden, a courtyard or a meadow ask for the opposite: a fuller setup and a power supply nearby. A riverside hall raises yet another question, that of access for unloading the gear. In every case we bring our own sound system: you have nothing to arrange or hire.
These details seem minor when you book a band six months ahead. They are what makes or breaks a cocktail hour, so we prefer to discuss them beforehand — even if it means recommending a different line-up from the one you first had in mind. Based in Saône-et-Loire, we play regularly in Chalon and across the Côte chalonnaise, and we travel throughout France and Europe.

Les Montgolfiades, and open-air formats
We have played on the stage of Les Montgolfiades in Chalon-sur-Saône, the large hot-air balloon gathering that brings dozens of crews to the prairie Saint-Nicolas, between Chalon-sur-Saône and Châtenoy-en-Bresse, every June.
Playing to a festival crowd is nothing like a cocktail hour. People are standing, they move around, they did not come for you: you need a repertoire that grabs them within eight bars and energy sustained across the whole set. This is the format we offer to local authorities and works councils for their outdoor events — music festivals, farmers' markets, open-air entertainment. We arrive with our own sound system; all we need is a power supply on site.

Frequently asked questions
Playing in Chalon-sur-Saône, in practice
Do you travel across the whole Côte chalonnaise?
Yes: Chalon-sur-Saône, Givry, Mercurey, Buxy, Saint-Rémy, Châtenoy-en-Bresse and the whole Grand Chalon area. We are based in Saône-et-Loire, and we are not limited to the region: we travel throughout France and Europe.
Do we need to provide any equipment?
No. We bring our own sound system and set up ourselves, discreetly. All we need is access to unload the gear and a power supply near the performance area.
Do you play for events other than weddings?
Yes. We have played on stage at Les Montgolfiades in Chalon-sur-Saône, and we regularly perform at festivals, local authority events, openings and corporate evenings, both indoors and outdoors.
